At Buckden Dental Clinic we have been paying particularly close attention to government guidance and updates specifically related to COVD-19. The latest guidance is to avoid any dental treatment unless it is an urgent emergency. While we remain open for emergency cover only, we have made a decision as a practice to delay all routine appointments.
We have a duty of care to our staff and to our patients to ensure there is zero transmission in our clinic. The viral transmission numbers are growing almost exponentially at the moment, and because of the close proximity in which we work with patients we have made the hard decision to delay all routine treatment. It’s the right thing to do, as we all have a part to play in stopping this terrible virus in its tracks.
Georgina, Heidi and Simona will be available only for our patients who have urgent pain or swelling during this period. They will conduct a video call service to give advice.
If you have a smartphone you can download the Skype app for free and the on call dentist will video call you directly. You can also download our home care guide here for advice on dealing with some of the most common dental issues at home.
An overwhelming thank you to our loyal patients, and to our amazing staff who have been so supportive over the last fortnight.
Please stay at home, please stay safe. And we will hopefully see you all in 3-4 weeks, and will increase our availability then to accommodate you all.
